Preschool Corner

PreschoolCornersidebarbutton210

Monkey is 4 years and 5 months.

This has been a week of big adjustments for us. Monkey has started 1/2 day preschool. He goes everyday and seems to love it. We are doing Mother Goose Time at home. We haven’t really fallen into a good schedule yet. Alligator used to take a nap in the afternoon, so that was when I was planning on having some one-on-one time with Monkey. But due to the drive to pick up Monkey, Alligator now sleeps in the car, and by the time we get home he is awake and ready for action. It is only about 45 min. but it is just enough for him apparently.

So we have done a little preschool this week. But we should get more in in the coming weeks.

Here is his first day of school picture.

Here he is playing a game from MGT. You were supposed to turn over the card, count the number of apples, and then pretend to pick them off of the MTG September poster. We used some handy tweezers. Well, he isn’t much into pretend, so I got out our game of high-ho-cherry-oh and we used that. He like that a lot.

MGT came with a poster with the nursery rhyme, Jack and Jill on it. We read that and circled some words that he knows and we read it together. He seemed to really like that. Then we made up actions to it and he liked that too.

This is a MGT material where you use blue and yellow paint to make green (our color of the month) Then you cut out the Jack and Jill and act it out. Again, Monkey loved this activity.

That is pretty much it so far. I will post again with what else we do!

As soon as the linky is up I will add a link back to the preschool Corner carnival, so you can take a look at what others are doing. ETA: it is set up now, so go ahead and click the button at the top!
