We have been sick a lot lately. So there has been very little preschool work going on. Happily Monkey is doing much better.
Due to our illlnesses when our big snow fall hit I brought the snow indoors. I filled a tub with snow and Monkey had a blast. I mean a real good hour of constant play! Some cars and a shovel and he had fun!
I got monkey these wierd things from Targets Christmas isle. They were stocking stuffers. Monkey called them Orbies, but they weren’t brand named. They were time little grains of sand (at least that was there size) and they just soak up water like crazy. We had a blast with them for days! THe more water we added the bigger they got. We ended up having a bucket full!
We also did some painting. I was trying to make wrapping paper, but I didn’t end up using it because it got too wet. Monkey loved using the cookie cutter as a stencil, and then painting inside it.
For months Monkey has asked for an alphabet train. He wanted it to have an engine and then cars with a letter on each car, and an item to go in each car that starts with the letter. Apparently he had seen something like this on Blue’s Clues. I finally found one from Lakeshore Learning. It is truly awesome!
Here is the image from the website.
Another favorite for MOnkey was the playdough factory; hours and hours of fun!
His favorite has to be the Handy Manny set I got at Costco for 14.99. It has 2 sets in one and it is our most played with present.
